Awesome, man! These are so amazing! Love that you have the storyboards as well! Really great. Mind if I link you on Framefilter? These types of resources are sometimes hard to find!

Hi Matt,
I'm glad to see that you enjoyed the movie as much as I did. As you are pointing out, this film is outstanding in its use of natural locations and natural light. I would like to add that some of the acting is very good too (I thought Stellan Skarsgard as the king was truly excellent). I notice that the director and d.p improved greatly on clunky continuity of the lackluster story-board. Thanks for picking up and spreading the word about this underrated version of the great epic.
Cheers.

Nice boards, actually--I don't think they're lacklustre at all. Rich in detail and very dramatic. Can you post more? I'd seen a great CBC special--which should be on any future reissue of the DVD--which showed the problems the production had with Mother Nature and budgetary problems, so I'm sure the preproduction plans got tossed. I've also read that Brian Cox was initially approached for the Skarsgard role...
